Pluswipes took on an enormous challenge all in the worthy name of saving the environment! As a team, we decided to halt the disposing of rubbish as a way of reducing waste in landfills. It was a challenging and fulfilling week. According to our impact survey, #ZeroWasteWeek prompted most employees to make lifestyle changes at home towards a greener lifestyle. Have a look at our #ZeroWasteWeek timeline to find out more about what we got up to:
We started the week off with a sweet tooth as we organised a Macmillan bake off dedicated to raising funds for the Macmillan Cancer Foundation. A delicious cake was served along with scrumptious homemade cookies which encouraged generous donations.
On #GivingTuesday, the team here at Pluswipes collected clothes to donate to the homeless in our community. And what a generous turnout it was!
We then introduced our Pluswipes customized #ZeroWasteWeek bottles to the company. Our water bottle initiative, is aimed at eliminating the need to buy plastic water bottles. Instead, we reused the customized Pluswipes bottles thus helping to reduce the amount of plastic bottles dumped in landfills.
On Thursday, we decided to have a cook out and come together as a team to reflect – and what better way is there to bring people together than food?
After a challenging and competitive week, the ‘greenest’ employees were awarded with various environmental presents, such as Tupperware. Martin Bradshaw was the winner of the Green Award, and a voucher to Pizza Express, as he stood as the ‘greenest’ employee of the week. Well done Martin!
Overall, this was an incredibly exciting, challenging and educational week for us all. We can’t wait till the next challenge!
Pluswipes is taking on a #ZeroWasteWeek challenge, starting on the 27th of November. This is to help save the environment by reducing waste in landfills. We have introduced several initiatives to help us achieve this goal, such as the following:
Water Bottle Initiative
‘Why are water bottles bad for the environment?’ you may ask. Did you know that approximately 17 million barrels of oil are used annually to produce water and soda bottles? And this is only in the USA! The energy that is used to pump, process, transport and refrigerate the water in the USA annually is equivalent to 50 million barrels of oil. This also has an impact on the environment. Although they are recyclable, 80% of plastic bottles end up in landfills. This is where we come in! Pluswipes has designed reusable water bottles to help eliminate the need to purchase water bottles:
We have also introduced composting! The use of compost bins will lower Pluswipes’ carbon footprint as it reduces methane levels from landfills.
Although we have always been dedicated to recycling paper, we have decided to increase the number of paper recycling bins in order to make it easier for us to make better environmental choices.

As the world’s largest medical fair, this event is sure to give us the opportunity to meet healthcare enthusiasts such as ourselves. Pluswipes has become one of the biggest manufacturers of private label healthcare wipes offering a variety of effective and safe products, such as our highly sought after Multi-surface disinfectant wipes. Although our innovative wet-wipes have been trusted by leading brands in the healthcare industry for over a decade, Pluswipes is always looking for an opportunity to learn and improve. And what better place is there to learn than a building full of medical experts?
And if you are unfortunately giving Medica a miss this year – do not panic – that is what the internet is there for after all! Click here to check out all our healthcare products. Also, feel free to contact Jamie Heywood, the Head of Business Development, to find out more.
We are excited to meet you all!
As we all know, staying in the ‘safe lane’ and resisting change will inevitably make us sink. But how does this apply to wet wipes, you may wonder? Wipes are commodities, right? Well the answer is no. At Pluswipes we are creating innovative wet wipe products designed to keep your brand moving forward.
Innovation at Pluswipes
Innovation is the art of creating something new and different. This is at the heart of the Pluswipes private label wet wipe offer. We are dedicated to giving brands the edge in the market. Our strategy, which is simple yet effective, focuses on the main drivers for creating brand value:
- Formulation development – our R&D is launching new formulations throughout 2018
- Packaging – new formats now available
- Fabric selection – access to global fabric markets
But at Pluswipes, we have our feet on the ground – we know it can be a tough and competitive market place. As a response to this, we develop our innovations in the real world by creating new wet-wipe products at competitive prices.
That time of year is soon upon us when Norovirus takes hold. As soon as temperatures drop you can be sure that the bug will start to make the news – the press start to report on the impact it has on NHS and UK productivity. But despite the well-known risks, businesses are often unprepared for Norovirus. Pluswipes allows your brand to have the answer for your customers.
What is Norovirus?
Norovirus, or the ‘winter vomiting bug’, is the most common stomach bug in the UK. It is also the most common cause of infectious diarrhea. With symptoms such as projectile vomiting and watery diarrhea, Norovirus is one that we all need to actively try and prevent.
Prevention is better than cure, as they say, and in this case it is both cheaper and less painful too. Especially for the Norovirus as it spreads easily and rapidly. Please visit NHS to find out more about how to prevent the spread of the virus.
Prevent the Norovirus with Our Private Label Products
One of the most effective ways to prevent Norovirus is infection control. Anything that could be contaminated must be disinfected. At Pluswipes, we have developed our products with infection control and innovation at the forefront. As a private label wet-wipe supplier, we specialise in infection control products designed to control Norovirus and other pathogens. This year we have developed several formulations designed to combat a number of infections including Norovirus, all available in a variety of packaging formats.
