Zero Waste Week
Pluswipes is taking on a #ZeroWasteWeek challenge, starting on the 27th of November. This is to help save the environment by reducing waste in landfills. We have introduced several initiatives to help us achieve this goal, such as the following:
Water Bottle Initiative
‘Why are water bottles bad for the environment?’ you may ask. Did you know that approximately 17 million barrels of oil are used annually to produce water and soda bottles? And this is only in the USA! The energy that is used to pump, process, transport and refrigerate the water in the USA annually is equivalent to 50 million barrels of oil. This also has an impact on the environment. Although they are recyclable, 80% of plastic bottles end up in landfills. This is where we come in! Pluswipes has designed reusable water bottles to help eliminate the need to purchase water bottles:

Compost Bins
We have also introduced composting! The use of compost bins will lower Pluswipes’ carbon footprint as it reduces methane levels from landfills.

Paper Recycling
Although we have always been dedicated to recycling paper, we have decided to increase the number of paper recycling bins in order to make it easier for us to make better environmental choices.
